I'm delighted to report that Fantasia on an Ellington Theme is continuing to get performed in various spots hither and yon. It was performed recently by the Arkansas All-State Jazz Band and the Oklahoma All-State Jazz Band. (thanks to guest conductor Chris Vadala). And I believe it may be on the program for a band (or two) at the upcoming Elmhurst College Jazz Festival.
