Tommy goes to Spanish Harlem

New Jazz Ensemble chart

Check out this brand-new release, a jazz ensemble arrangement of I'm Free. This is a great follow-up to 2013's Bohemian Rhapsody, this time with a tune by The Who, one of the greatest rock-and-roll bands of all time.

This sizzling arrangement reimagines a Classic Rock anthem as a potent mambo worthy of Machito and Tito Puente. True to the original version, the coda wraps up with the well-known Pinball Wizard riff.

You have to hear it to believe it. Speaking of which, here a fantastic recording from the DiMartino/Osland Jazz Orchestra's CD Off the Charts. Go ahead and do a side-by-side comparison with the original.
