You'll need a special permit to play this... (SSAAATTTB)

Lynn Klock is getting ready to retire after teaching 35 years at UMass-Amherst.  I find it difficult to believe that he has reached this milestone, because he still is the spry, energetic, and enthusiastic guy I've known since I entered his studio in 1988.

Anyhow, next weekend is a serious gathering of saxophone alumni at UMass for Mr. Klock's final New England Saxophone Symposium.  And, we're gonna cap it off with a mass saxophone choir.

Mr. Klock asked me to write a little something for the sax choir, telling me to make sure there are enough copies for 80-100 saxophonists to read.  Oy.  (I'll leave the printing and taping to an unsuspecting undergrad in his current saxophone studio).

So, here's a preview of tho anew work, scored for 2 Sopranos, 3 Altos, 3 Tenors, and 2 Baritones.  If you'd like, you can read along with the score as you listen to this recording (from the hit record Finale's Memorable Moments '14).
