Steady Eddie has been a staple in the books of my trio & quartet ever since I wrote it about 5 or 6 years ago.
It's a simple G-minor Blues structure in a medium, loping vibe. It makes a nice change of pace when you want to a play a minor blues other than the stalwart Mr. P.C. and Equinox.
Please help yourself to the lead sheets (transposed for Eb, Bb, C, Bass Clef) and the mp3.
If you would like something more substantial than a lead sheet to use with your combo, you can purchase the SEXTET VERSION, which is scored for 3 horns and rhythm. Structurally, it also includes a slightly extended Coda, which provides a more interesting—and musically satisfying—ending. It includes several optional horn parts, so you can mix and match depending on the players in your group. And, the rhythm section parts are notated (as needed) to help out less experienced players - but not get in the way of seasoned pros.
